FRICTION is the zeitgeist dramatic imagining of the rise and fall of a revolutionary of the Friction Movement, an independent, nationwide organization formed to address systemic racism and police brutality. When an enigmatic local Friction Movement leader Marco Ortiz, portrayed by David Quiroz ( Vows, Tenant of the Year) decides that pacifism is not going to bring about change he leads his followers on a path of potential destruction until the pursuit of justice is muddled by his desire for revenge in a violent confrontation. The underground effort to revolt against the local officials due to police brutality and friction arises between conflicting beliefs and views Friction encompasses the idea that one voice can reach many ears and create effective change or destruction and the two are not mutually exclusive!
The Hodge
Documentary

Through the work of the Hodge's artists, the unheard stories of gentrification, racism, and other institutionalized barriers segregating the city of Cleveland will be told. The Hodge is currently pushing out residents in order to increase rent and renovate the building and we hope to expose this unjust situation and fight for the tenants right to continue to create their impactful artwork.
